Relaxing our thoughts and calming our minds isn’t always easy. When we can we find peace and calm, it is physically, emotionally, spiritually and even medically beneficial. Most people feel they just can’t meditate, but we are meditating daily when we’re thinking of other things as we do tasks or when we let our minds wander.
Strengthening our minds through the art of meditation allows us to direct our thoughts to a more peaceful state. It actually changes our chemistry from a stressful state, that releases cortisol that can damage our bodies. Meditation produces a calming state which releases dopamine and endorphins.
There are many ways to meditate; guided, visual, mindfulness, or focusing our mind on a particular object, thought or activity. The objective is to train our attention and awareness and achieve mental clarity and emotional calm.
During our time together, we will build a meditation platform that is right for you. You can experience the many types of meditations or we can work specifically on one practice. There many types of meditations that I use. I like them all because each one gives me a different way to calm my body, strengthen my awareness and produce a healthy state of being. Whether you have meditated for years or are just beginning, you will learn new ways to to promote a peaceful and healthy life style.
In Person: In this session you can either relax on a massage table or sit comfortably in a chair. Soft music, candles, healing crystals and stones, and aromatherapy are all are all used to set the atmosphere to go deeply within as I guide you through this experience. Please be sure to arrive 20 minutes early to fill out a detailed questionnaire and spend some time talking together before we begin our session.
